Video Codec Circuit Layout Design
Overview
This document provides an overview and the layout design of a video codec circuit. The video codec is responsible for encoding and decoding video data for efficient storage and transmission.
Layout Design
Key Components
- Video Input Buffer: Handles the incoming video signal and prepares it for processing.
- Video Decoder: Decodes the compressed video stream into a format that can be displayed or further processed.
- Video Encoder: Encodes the raw video data into a compressed format for efficient storage or transmission.
- Video Output Buffer: Prepares the processed video signal for output.
- Control Logic: Manages the operation of the codec, including synchronization and data flow control.
Pin Configuration
Pin Number | Pin Name | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Vcc | Power Supply |
2 | GND | Ground |
3 | VIDEO_IN | Video Input Signal |
4 | VIDEO_OUT | Encoded Video Output Signal |
Layout Verification
Ensuring that the physical layout matches the schematic is critical for the functionality of the video codec circuit. Design Rule Checks (DRC) and Layout Versus Schematic (LVS) checks are performed to verify that the layout adheres to manufacturing rules and correctly implements the design.
